‍Introducing Shaz and Keith to #TeamHarlow

Shaz

‍I am Shaz, and I’ve recently joined Citizens Advice Harlow as an adviser for the Probation Service. Before joining the team, I worked in energy and income maximisation, supporting clients with financial issues and helping them access the support available to them. I enjoy working with people, listening to their concerns, and helping them find practical solutions that can make a real difference to their lives.

I’m excited to be joining Citizens Advice Harlow because it's one of the best teams I have ever worked with. Every single person is there because they want to be, and the support for each other and the people they care for is unmatched. Team Harlow has done a fantastic job making everything engaging for remote workers. I look forward to learning from such an experienced and supportive team. I’m keen to develop my knowledge and skills while contributing wherever I can.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and trying new recipes. A fun fact about me is that I can never resist a good cup of tea and usually have one within reach throughout the day!

Keith

I am Keith, and I’ve recently joined Citizens Advice Harlow as an Adviser for the Probation Service. Before joining the team, I volunteered and worked within Citizens Advice Uttlesford for over five years, including the last three and a half years as a part-time Macmillan Welfare Adviser working 18.5 hours per week. During this time, I have developed significant expertise in welfare benefits, emergency debt management, homelessness prevention, and housing-related support for vulnerable clients experiencing crisis situations.

I am particularly drawn to the probation role as I strongly believe supporting people to rebuild stability and independence during difficult periods in their lives is the best way to reduce reoffending.

I am excited to be joining #TeamHarlow because I strongly share the values of Citizens Advice Harlow, particularly their commitment to inclusion, equality, professionalism, and supporting people without judgement. I’m keen to develop my knowledge and skills while contributing wherever I can. Outside of work, I enjoy cycling, walking, traveling and cooking. I am an avid sports fan and a bit of a history and politics nerd.

A fun fact about me is that I am a reluctant photographer.  I never take photos unless I am with my wife, to her, life is one long photoshoot or TikTok video!
