UKPN Adviser

Citizens Advice Harlow, working together with our regional consortium, Citizens Advice Essex, and other local offices throughout the region, has entered into a partnership with a major utility company (UK Power Network) for funding to  support people in fuel poverty– a need that has increased significantly during the new era of rising and unstable domestic energy prices. Post holders will join a well-established team in Harlow and the sub region, providing reliable and effective quality assured advice for those vulnerable to fuel poverty across principally by telephone. 

Location: Flexible working with a mixed home/office working model is expected to apply.   

Salary: £24,000 - £25,000 dependant on experience   

Hours per week: 37.5

Type of contract:  Fixed term until 31st March 2026 with a possibility of extension to 2030.

Supervisor for the Macmillan project

 The role is to ensure that, through support and supervision, a team of Specialist Welfare Benefits caseworkers working across the Citizens Advice Essex consortium is equipped, enabled, and supported to consistently provide high-quality advice and casework service to clients or members of their immediate family who have been diagnosed with cancer across Essex. 

Location: Flexible working with a mixed home/office working model is expected to apply.   

Salary:  £30,000 full-time equivalent.    

Hours per week: 18.5 hours per week with the possibility of the role becoming full-time.  

Type of contract:  Fixed term until May 2026. 

Travel: Subject to local travel expense policies, postholders will be expected to occasionally undertake home visits (as part of managing a small, personal caseload) and provide services in hospitals or other health settings.
