Citizens Advice Harlow delivers specialist support for the Ukrainian community

Citizens Advice Harlow is working with the Essex Community Foundation to deliver dedicated support for Ukrainians who have arrived in Greater Essex, whether through the Homes for Ukraine scheme or other routes.

The Ukrainian Support Project provides tailored, accredited advice on vital areas such as immigration status, access to welfare benefits, housing rights, and employment opportunities.

As part of this work, Citizens Advice Harlow recently organised an outreach session at Harlow Library, making support accessible in a trusted community setting. During the session, our adviser helped clients with a range of issues, including employment, housing, welfare benefits, and immigration.

Our Adviser, Daniela, explained:

By working in trusted community spaces such as Harlow Library, we make our services more accessible and ensure that individuals and families receive the guidance they need to integrate and thrive. But we know there are still many more people from the Ukrainian community who need this support, and we want to reach them.
